Course content statistics can display the total number of users, the number of users who visited course content, and the average time users spent viewing content. You can view overall course content statistics as well as specific statistics for individual modules and topics.
Step 1: Go to Content from the Manage tab
From the Manage tab, select the Content link.
Step 2: View Usage for the parent topic
From the Content page, click the parent topic (1) and then click the Usage button (2) to access statistics.
Step 3: Copy data in the table to Excel worksheet
Copy the data from the table and paste it into a worksheet in an Excel document. Make sure you name the sheet in the Excel document to match the page name (e.g., 1-Welcome or 1.1 Requirements and Features).
Step 4: View Subtopics
Click your browser's back button to see the parent topic content page. Select the parent topic (1) and click the Subtopics button (2) to see child pages. You can also use the drop-down menu (3) at the top of the page to select a parent topic and view its subtopics.
Repeat Step 3 above, viewing the data from each subtopic page.
Click Usage (4) to see details for that page.
Step 4: View usage data
The content usage page contains:
- Page - Each content page title.
- Visits - How many visits in total for each page.
- Unique Visits - The number of distinct individuals requesting pages from the course, regardless of how often they visit. Visits refer to the number of times a site is visited, no matter how many visitors make up those visits.
- Avg. Duration - The average amount of time all learners spent on a page in total.
- Total Duration - The amount of time all learners spent on a page in total.
- Details - Links to details for each learner ever enrolled in the course.
