How do I link to another website?

When you want to create a clickable link on a web page, follow these steps.

1 Highlight the text you want to make clickable by clicking and dragging.

Include only the text that you want to make in to a link — not the punctuation after it (like a comma or period).

2 Click the Insert/Edit Link icon.

This will make a pop-up window appear.

3 Enter the URL of the Web site you want to link to and click OK.

In the Insert/Edit Link window, add the full URL of the web page you want to link to in the field called Link URL (1). Make sure to include the http://. The URL you use should look like

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abyssinian_(cat)

and not

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abyssinian_(cat)

Click the Insert (2) button when you're done. The linked text appears in underlined blue text. It isn’t clickable until you publish it.
